About The Practice

Dr. Danielle Forshee, LLC is one of the preeminent private practices of the greater Monmouth County area. The Practice is located in Red Bank, New Jersey, and has been individually owned since its founding in 2016. The Practice specializes in the assessment and treatment of high-conflict matters, high-risk behaviors including non-suicidal self-injury and suicidality, common psychiatric disorders, relationship problems and high-conflict family problems within and outside of the family and criminal court systems. 

About Dr. Forshee

Dr. Forshee is regularly sought out by the media for insights into national events, social issues, and guidance in dealing with psychological disorders and common relationship problems. USA Today, NBC, Livestrong, Cosmopolitan, CBS, Insider, and The Huffington Post are just some of the 50+ major outlets that have featured her work in print, online, radio and television. She has been published in the international textbook: Models of Psychiatric Emergency Psychiatric Services that Work, by Springer International Publications. Dr. Forshee has provided over 50 academic lectures and professional trainings on the topics of suicide, risk, and de-escalation strategies throughout her career, and regularly works with the New Jersey Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and other organizations on such engagements. Due to overwhelming demand, The Practice is for the first time seeking two experienced, licensed psychologists to join The Practice. There are two open positions:

  1. Licensed Psychologist: Specializing in individual therapy for adolescents and adults. 
  2. Licensed Psychologist: Specializing in couples counseling

Candidate Requirements: Psychologist (Individual Therapy)

  • Experience required with persons and families involved in high-conflict custody disputes, adept in the assessment and treatment of psychological disorders, non-suicidal self-injury and suicide
  • Advanced training or certificate in REBT or CBT, or at minimum, a willingness to obtain 
  • Malpractice and liability insurance required
  • Individual NPI number required
  • Current NJ license (Psy.D, or Ph.D)

Candidate Requirements: Psychologist (Couples Counseling)

  • Certificate or Level 3 Advanced Training in the Gottman Method, or at minimum, a willingness to obtain 
  • Malpractice and liability insurance required
  • Individual NPI number required
  • Current NJ license (Psy.D, or Ph.D)

Position Details (applies to both)

  • 1099 employee
  • Virtual, with an option for hybrid
  • Compensation to be commensurate with experience 
  • The Practice sits out-of-network with insurance and provides a steady stream of referrals
  • The Practice may offer opportunities for media exposure
  • The position comes with full autonomy of schedule; however, evening and/or weekend hours may be necessary to accommodate a full-time caseload
  • No-show protection for appointments
  • Caseload expected to ramp to full time (30 client hours per week) within 3 months
